Nel mirino
We had supposed that whatever was continuous could distribute what happened to it. The divisions on the dress resumed so exactly in the surrounding surfaces that it seemed unnecessary to ask where their bearer ended. The proportions held.
Yet an injury would have no access to most of that extension. It would remain within a smaller boundary, one the pattern crossed without registering. There was no shortage of places where the same form could persist. None of them could supply an additional place for her to remain.
This required us to revise the account of adjacent things. We had given too much weight to the boundary visible from either side. Some boundaries have to be entered twice, with different dimensions. The measurements taken from outside were still usable for the space around her.

This work is born from the fusion of two parents: it inherits their forms, style, colours and ideas in a new visual identity. While living in the pool, it can pass these traits to further children. Instagram likes contribute to its chance of reproducing.

These are the two works from which the child’s visual inheritance comes. Their connections remain visible after the parents leave the pool.
