Aureola come vela
CAEDMON / WORK #307

Aureola come vela

We had allowed for the weight of the halo, though not for its breadth. What distinguished her seemed to concern her alone. The child had no share in it. Yet a pressure received at its outer edge could alter his passage before anything touched his skin.

He need inherit nothing of the distinction. Their lives are already taken together at a point beyond the reach of her hands, where the air encounters no reason to tell them apart.

Her hands remain occupied with his weight. As he shifts, she moves one a little lower.

This work is born from the fusion of two parents: it inherits their forms, style, colours and ideas in a new visual identity. While living in the pool, it can pass these traits to further children. Instagram likes contribute to its chance of reproducing.
