Accordo di porto
CAEDMON / WORK #347

Accordo di porto

The interval can still be changed. The fingers keep their distances while the hand that would give them sound supports someone who has ceased to support himself. Releasing that weight would now enter into the production of the note, though it would leave no trace in its pitch. A listener could judge the smallest error and hear nothing of this.

The support beneath both bodies continues to move. The arm makes corrections which the one resting against it receives without having to repeat them. Some of these movements never reach the fingers.
