Punto di fuga
CAEDMON / WORK #285

Punto di fuga

Neither side had counted the interval as a place where someone might sit down and work. In their reckoning it consisted entirely of what remained to be crossed. Yet a chair could stand there without facing either way along that reckoning. It needed room of another kind.

The approach could enter the work long before it reached the seated body. For a while, whatever threatened to interrupt him also gave him something further to do. He had to attend closely to its coming nearer. There was no separate movement by which it would cease to belong to his work and begin to prevent it; the nearer shoulder already required a different mixture of colour.

This work is born from the fusion of two parents: it inherits their forms, style, colours and ideas in a new visual identity. While living in the pool, it can pass these traits to further children. Instagram likes contribute to its chance of reproducing.
