Fandango del Faraone
CAEDMON / WORK #318

Fandango del Faraone

1922 is exact enough for the opening of Tutankhamun’s tomb. A resumption is harder to date. Whoever enters a relation may find that the other has retained only what is needed for this particular encounter. The rest need not be restored before they can begin.

The crowned player must leave room for hands from which almost everything has gone. Their part can still make his own premature. His intact body gives him no advantage in this matter; he has to receive the interval they leave him and carry it into his next movement. Playing more fully would spoil the allowance. For a little while his fingers must hold a position that another player’s fingers have made necessary.

SPECIAL EVENT

Discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb (1922)
2026-11-04

Created for this occasion by fusing a CAEDMON original with an external artwork. The external parent contributes to this birth without joining the pool.

This work is born from the fusion of two parents: it inherits their forms, style, colours and ideas in a new visual identity. While living in the pool, it can pass these traits to further children. Instagram likes contribute to its chance of reproducing.
