Tessuto di mare
CAEDMON / WORK #319

Tessuto di mare

That much may be entrusted to what carries us. The string need not remain in one place for its length to be exact. Both ends travel; the fingers make a smaller alteration within the journey.

The air that receives the sound has already laid hold of the whole vessel. We leave most of its work out of the reckoning, though the body continues to bear it. The loose sleeve takes up some of this movement. At the wrist, a little enters the measure again, before the finger has changed its place.
