Scacchiera in marcia
The place beneath the weight has to be kept, though no one can stay in it for the whole journey. The ground supplies one square after another. None is the place the bearer has undertaken to preserve.
The distance between the raised hands remains exact. Below, one shoulder can give way to another, and the new bearer is admitted without inheriting the fatigue of the first. Something has been spent which the burden cannot retain. The exchange must begin while both are still walking.

This work is born from the fusion of two parents: it inherits their forms, style, colours and ideas in a new visual identity. While living in the pool, it can pass these traits to further children. Instagram likes contribute to its chance of reproducing.
